Job Description

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including financial risk management, corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, statutory reporting, as well as the development of internal controls. In addition, you will also manage and monitor external financial advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Being responsible for the day to day finance activities including cash management and salaries
  • Preparing weekly reports in collaboration with other departments
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Preparing budgets and financial plans based on data reports available
  • Reviewing all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
  • Assisting in mid-year and annual audits
  • Assisting in the preparation of the corporate income tax and annual financial statements in cooperation with external tax advisors
  • Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven working experience as a Controller
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Working experience with financial ERP systems, planning and reporting software
  • Ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering reporting and analysis to stakeholders
